Mazda 2 cũng được nhập nguyên chiếc từ Thái và phân phối tại Việt Nam với hai phiên bản Mazda2 sedan có giá niêm yết 629 triệu Đồng và Mazda 2 hatchback có giá 689 triệu Đồng. Như vậy, phép so sánh Toyota Yaris và Mazda 2 hatchback sẽ đặt lên bàn cân hai phiên bản cao cấp nhất của hai thương hiệu. Nếu Toyota Yaris được xem là “chuẩn mực truyền thống” của dòng hatchback 5 cửa, thì Mazda 2 hatchback giống như “làn gió hiện đại” của thị trường ô tô phân khúc B.
